Study Shows Investors Reported Increased Value from LPL Advisors

LPL Financial

LPL Financial and its advisors were ranked No. 1 for client loyalty among financial distributors, based on a recent survey of affluent U.S. investors. The findings were recently released in a Cogent Wealth Reports (“Cogent”) study, “Investor Brand Builder,” published by Market Strategies International. The study also reported that LPL earned the No. 1 spot among each of the top five drivers that investors attributed to creating loyalty, including quality of investment advice and financial stability.

“It is a tremendous honor for LPL and our advisors to be recognized for delivering a service experience that exceeds expectations in the top drivers,” said Andy Kalbaugh, managing director and divisional president, National Sales and Consulting. “These results demonstrate the quality of our advisors and the value investors place in our firm’s breadth and depth of services and product access. Our advisors are the reason for our business, and it’s wonderful to know that our enabling capabilities are supporting their ability to differentiate themselves and to create lasting value with their clients.”

The study ranks 30 leading financial distributors among ten categories, five of those which Cogent reports that investors have deemed to be the key drivers of loyalty. LPL was ranked No. 1 for the second year in a row in two categories, quality of investment advice and financial stability. LPL moved into the No. 1 position in the remaining categories, including range of investment products and services and easy to do business with, up from No. 4, and retirement planning services, up from its No. 3 position last year. LPL earned the overall No. 1 client loyalty ranking based on the net promotor score, which represents the likelihood of an investor to recommend a firm’s services to their friends, family and colleagues.

According to Cogent, the purpose of the study is to provide insights to help financial services firms understand their brand perception and identify important trends affecting the affluent investor marketplace. Cogent stated that its report is based on a survey of more than 4,000 investors with $100,000 or more in investable assets, which was conducted between June and August 2017.
